Welcome
to HOUSE of BRONZE
Larry House
began sculpting in 1995 evolving his innate artistic skills through a unique
program of vocational rehabilitation administered by the Department of
Veterans Affairs. A decorated Army veteran with two combat tours in Vietnam,
Larry has been determined to be 100 percent permanently and totally disabled
by that government agency.
In an effort to overcome the limitations his
combat disabilities imposed on his employability, this Bronze Star w/V
Device recipient, with the assistance of the Department of Veterans Affairs,
has honed his talents to become an award winning, commissioned sculptor
primarily in the area of western art.
Larry has said of his artistic career,
"I will forever be indebted to the VA and the vocational rehabilitation
program for never giving up on me and allowing me the opportunity to be a
contributing member of society once again". Larry's work has been on
display at The Senate Rotunda in Washington, D.C., The Kentucky History and
Science Museum in Frankfort, Kentucky and has won several first place prizes
at the Kentucky State Fair, and the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional
and National Arts Festivals.
He has trained with Shirley Booth, Jim Ward,
and Dawn Yates. He also holds a BA in Accounting from Bellarmine College in
Louisville, Kentucky. Larry resides in Sheperdsville, Kentucky with his
wife, Linda, and has two children. He is also a proud grandfather of two. |
